The Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Australia Network is looking for a temporary news assistant for its Beijing bureau. The job starts immediately and runs until the end of November.

Daily tasks include monitoring the Chinese media, researching story ideas and translating interviews.

The job is full-time and may require travel within China. Hours are generally normal office hours. Excellent English is essential.
